In America especially, trying to convince someone to start watching Formula 1 is a difficult task; even more impossible is evangelizing them from an average citizen into a fan. I've personally attempted to convert a few non-believers, without much success. Is it even possible to convert an American to be so addicted to a form of motorsport that makes you get up at 3AM just to catch a glimpse of qualifying, or even just a practice run?
Yes, I do utilize the all-powerful DVR, but when Monaco swings around, you better believe I'm in front of my television watching cars run seemingly aimlessly around a few conglomerated shops and homes at an ungodly hour.
So, just to see what's what, I've thrown a few polls together and will see if we can analyze the data.

For what it's worth, you guys converted me. I used to think it was stupid- they're not even real cars right? But now, I watch all the qualifyings, all the races, and even yell at the tv the same way I do for football. So, y'all can put down that you've converted at least one.

For my friend, it was a matter of keeping the interest alive through discussion on Sunday or Monday. Creating an environment for discussion was key. You have to enforce the "Duuude, did you watch the race?" enthusiasm. In doing so, they will put other stuff aside to watch the race. It only takes around a 4-5 race jump start before they do it willingly and start following. Success came last week when we went to COTA. It was still a bit shaky (him asking questions he should of know by then) but hooked he was :]

I cannot stand televised sporting events. I simply do not understand the attraction. An underdog wins a race? Who cares? Someone gets a game winning goal? Who cares?
I do not know or care about the athletes, so sitting down and watching them perform is akin to sitting at an intersection and watching people drive/walk past me. Both hold equal appeal.

There's still the technical race, which I personally find quite interesting.

(Cue up some heist movie plannig music)
I'm going to make a post soon asking for songs, after we get 64, I'll arange them into a bracket. I'll post the bracket along with all the songs in a YouTube form.
Then you come in, I'll need you to make the post with the polls of "Which is better, A or B?" Just maybe 4 or so, however many you feel like.
I'll get the results at the end of the day and update the bracket. We will repeat this process until we have the Ultimate Driving Song! (Nefarious laughter)

Not an official term, but how formula 1 teams introduce new parts each race to make their cars faster, and the battle between the teams to keep things secret and bend the rules in different ways (like Lotus Enstone's attempt to blow the exhaust from the front; though this didn't work as effectively, but it was still an innovative idea); this is what I find most interesting.

Great! There are plenty of fans in oppo because when i make posts of F1 they comment. they know their stuff. I like it since with my friends i cant talk about this they only watch soccer. I hate soccer, it doesnt exist for me. Football is good, but i only watch Sundays games
